Initially, when the owner of this cute little home began tailoring it to her liking, she followed all the rules, or so she thought.

What she eventually found was that following another person’s design rules meant her home was lacking life - her life.

As a designer I consider it my life’s mission to show my clients how life-changing it is when their home is tailored to their own personal design preferences. Because there is a reason your home is YOURS. Am I right?

In this case, infusing my clients needs and preferences meant coating the space with a summer-inspired color palette and creating a dog-friendly sitting space with hidden storage. In this same spirit, we sourced washable rugs and slipcovered furniture to ensure the interior decor had staying power.

The end result communicated a gentleness that made my client fall in love with her home all over again. Pretty incredible, if you ask me.
